Climbing in the Zillertal
In addition to numerous themed trails and guided hikes, the wonderful mountain world of the Zillertal invites you to explore the free and untouched nature when climbing during your summer holidays. Climb between treetops and wires in the high wire garden in Kaltenbach or in the 16-metre climbing hall in the Zillertal Climbing Center in Aschau. There is something on offer for every taste and weather condition!
High wire garden
The adventure and experience park Zillertal in Kaltenbach is a highlight for the whole family. Climbing with children and adults, demands courage and skill and at the same time offers unusual views and great fun during your summer holidays. Holidays with kids will turn into a unique experience with 7 different circuits, a via ferrata trail across a waterfall, a flying fox and much more!
Kids climbing garden
Adventure on a steep rock face! The family and adventure climbing park at the Spieljoch mountain station takes children and adults on a journey in the footsteps of Luis Trenker. Experienced outdoor instructors provide guidance, showing new "rock conquerors" how to use the via ferrata set and accompanying them on their first steps and holds on the rock.
The natural climbing wall may only be used with a booked guide – bookable at the mountain station!
The via ferrata, including an introduction to climbing, can also be booked at the mountain station!
With your own equipment, you can also climb the via ferrata independently at your own risk, free of charge!
Kraftreich Zillertal
If the outdoor activities must be postponed for a day due to bad weather, use the broadly diversified offer in the Zillertal Climbing Center in Aschau, where most diverse climbing categories that are equally suited for children and family, beginners and professionals await you across 670 m² and guarantee great fun and entertainment in an active environment.
Via ferrata trails
Via ferrata trails are secured trails that take you through the mountain world and are ideal for those seeking the extra thrill. Provided with steel cables, clips and ladders, you will experience steep and spectacular walls at first hand. Along the Zillertal, you will find different via ferrata trails both in the main and in the side valleys. For children and beginners, all the way to professionals – there is a suitable Zillertal tour for everyone.
