In addition to numerous themed trails and guided hikes, the wonderful mountain world of the Zillertal invites you to explore the free and untouched nature when climbing during your summer holidays. Climb between treetops and wires in the high wire garden in Kaltenbach or in the 16-metre climbing hall in the Zillertal Climbing Center in Aschau. There is something on offer for every taste and weather condition!
Even children can take their first steps climbing in the different climbing facilities available in the Zillertal. Well secured and accompanied by trained staff they will enjoy their first steps above ground. Give it a try, your children will be enthusiastic!
Away from climbing the Fügen-Kaltenbach region has so many other activities too. The swimming area in Stumm tempts you to leap into the refreshing cool waters after a strenuous day of climbing and brings your sunny day to a close in a great atmosphere. To soothe those weary muscles a variety of massages are available in Erlebnistherme Zillertal. The wellness area is tempting too, with six saunas and an outdoor pool with slides and the like, where family and friends can enjoy the end of the day.

If the outdoor activities must be postponed for a day due to bad weather, use the broadly diversified offer in the Zillertal Climbing Center in Aschau, where most diverse climbing categories that are equally suited for children and family, beginners and professionals await you across 670 m² and guarantee great fun and entertainment in an active environment.
A varied kids’ programme and courses of all kinds and for every difficulty level are available across 500m² in the 16-metre high indoor climbing hall. Whether good or bad weather – a 100m² (indoor) and a 75m² (outdoor) boulder area are at your disposal.
Via ferrata trails are secured trails that take you through the mountain world and are ideal for those seeking the extra thrill. Provided with steel cables, clips and ladders, you will experience steep and spectacular walls at first hand. Along the Zillertal, you will find different via ferrata trails both in the main and in the side valleys. For children and beginners, all the way to professionals – there is a suitable Zillertal tour for everyone. All efforts ascending are usually rewarded with magnificent views in the end.
