In summer and winter alike, the Erlebnistherme Zillertal spa offers you restful tranquillity with wellness and relaxation, while your children can let off steam to their heart's content in the water and slide world. A highlight in Ried im Zillertal is the Way of the Cross, one of the many themed trails in our region. Its 14 stations lead from the Riedbach Bridge (forest playground) to the Riedberg Chapel. The stations were carved by local artist Hermann Wildauer and then cast in bronze. The themed trail invites you to take a stroll and linger in summer and winter alike.
With its unbeatable location, the holiday village of Strass is centrally located between Innsbruck, Kufstein and the picturesque Achensee. Ideally situated for excursions in and around the Zillertal, Strass also offers excellent public transport connections. This means you can enjoy a car-free holiday and use the Zillertalbahn railway to explore the valley as far as Mayrhofen by steam train.
In the heart of the Zillertal, where the valley is at its widest and the sun shines longest, lies the village of Uderns in the Zillertal. The village between Fügen and Stumm has 1,750 inhabitants and is located 550 metres above sea level. The central location of Uderns is particularly attractive for those who like to spend a car-free holiday and rely on public transport for excursions in the Zillertal.
